Well done to Abbie Wright, Ella Hatton and Eliza Piskor in year 11, who excelled at our Virtual Careers Fair

Year 11 benefit from Virtual Careers Fair

Last Friday Year 11 were given the chance to speak to college representatives and employers to find out about the opportunities available to them when they leave school. The Careers Fair was organised by Mrs Morris our Careers Adviser, The Warrington Pledge and LearnLive who hosted the event on their website. If you missed it the college videos, info on apprenticeships and university life can all be accessed on https://learnliveuk.com/birchwood-high-school-virtual-careers-fair/ and year 11 will be learning more about post 16 options through study skills/careers lessons this term.

The students asked some great questions through the Livechat facility and actively participated in a Quiz at the end of the morning showing a good understanding of A’levels, BTECs, how to find apprenticeships and the benefits of going to university.

Well done to the following students who impressed the organisers with their questions and participation on the day and have won Amazon vouchers –

First Prize £15 Abbie Wright 11VW (For excellent participation in the Careers Fair, completing the Quiz and sending back questionnaire)

Second Prize £10  Ella Hatton 11JA (Excellent participation in the Live Chat at the Careers Fair)

Third Prize £5 Eliza Piskor 11JA (Excellent answers in the Quiz at the Careers Fair and participation in the Live Chat)
